Re: Blueberry Help!
I JUST posted about a blueberry muffin recipe that I tried. It was totally awesome. The recipe is HERE.
Earlier in the summer, I bought a 20lb bulk order of blueberries, so I know the predicament you're in! ![]() A recipe that I'm hoping to try comes from The Pioneer Woman's website for individual cobblers. She made a raspberry version, but she said it would work great with blueberries as well. That recipe is HERE. As for a recipe for jam, www.pickyourown.org is a great resource. I just used that for making strawberry jam earlier in the year. HERE's the direct link for blueberry jam, if you want. Good luck!

Re: Blueberry Help!
You can also freeze them on a cookie sheet and then keep them in a bag to make muffins, smoothies etc later.

Re: Blueberry Help!
I'm going to! Use some now....make a BUNCH of blueberry muffins and then freeze them....bringing a few out at a time to thaw and eat! The jam will be for Christmas presents!

Re: Blueberry Help!
We go blueberry picking every year and love it! We usually end up just freezing them and then making awesome blueberry icecream sauce --
1/2 to 1 C water (depends on if you like thick or thin sauce) 2 C Blueberries 1/2 C sugar 1 to 2 tbls corn starch (to thicken) 1 to 2 tsp lemon juice dash of vanilla -- keep out 1/4 of the blueberries until the end -- mix everything else except reserved blueberries and vanilla in a pan and bring to a simmer (stir super frequently)-- after it is nice and thick remove from heat and add in blueberries and vanilla -- let cool and then serve over ice cream for a wonderful treat. |

Re: Blueberry Help!
not jam or muffins, but I made a blueberry strata for breakfast when my inlaws were here last weekend. it was to die for, with eggs, bread, swiss cheese, cottage cheese, and yogurt on the side when I served it.
