Making Dairy & Soy free yoghurt

Parker is having issues w/ dairy and I am wary of soy so unless someone has ever seen rice or hemp yoghurt anywhere I guess I need to make it myself. Has anyone ever tried?

Not sure if it is available in your area, but here in Seattle we have coconut yogurt that is both dairy and soy-free. Have you tried goat yogurt? Some kids who have lactose issues do better on goat products. Hope that helps!

google coconut-milk yogurt. I tried it and it tastes really great, but stays runny, so it's best used in smoothies.

It's made by SoGood- the soy yogourt company but it is soy free.

Coconut cream (aka Creamed coconut) comes in a box. It is basically the thickest, fattest stuff that you normally find at the top of the coconut milk in a can. Essentially you do the reconstituting since you normally have to add water to it before using it since it is SUPER hard.
Also, you can actually get the coconut milk straight from a coconut- just takes a lot of work!
BTW, impressive that you don't use any canned products.

I bought coconut milk made especially as a beverage in the same aisle as my refrigerated soy/rice milk. I can't remember the brand but it was in a gallon carton.
