Me too on the two let downs, but mostly I think that "nipple exercises" are hysterically funny and I wanted to type that. Okay, in all seriousness they help a lot, as does the breast massage between "bouts". I would seriously get another 2-3 oz doing this.

Having a cold room would tank my supply.

Im also conditioned to the sound of my pump.. but then again Im an exclusive pumper and have been pumping for 9 mo. I let down in less than 30 seconds. I have a Medela PISA and I skip the inital "letdown" phase because I have no need for it

I would say if you pump 3 times in an 8-10 hour period you can expect your letdown to be much less. thats kind of excessive. You could probably cut down to one or two pumping sessions in a 12-14 hour period and produce more milk per setting.

Medela recommends pumping 3 times in a standard 8 hour work day.
