Re: Chili recipe???

I have one I make in the slow cooker!! I use Bison, but you could use ground beef or turkey

1 pound ground Bison - browned in the skillet
1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
1 can rotel (10 oz)
1 can tomato sauce (8 oz)
1 can light red kidney beans (16 oz)
1/3 of package (diced and boiled) of smoked turkey sausage (comes in a package of 2 large links)
1/3 cup of chili powder
salt, pepper, and seasoning salt to taste
cook in the slow cooker for 3-5 hours

This yields about 4 adult servings. I usually make a double batch and freeze what is left. I heat the frozen chili for about 1 1/2 hours on the slow cooker.

Re: Chili recipe???

i get raves all the time for my chili which i think is funny because its a simple cheaters recipie imo i was being lazy one day and it worked out so nice

one big can crushed tomatos
one big can chili beans
one pound ground meat
one chili packet

brown meat, transfer to big pan add remaining ingredience. bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer till ready to eat. the longer you simmer the better the flavors blend. i prefer to simmer 20-30 min.

Re: Chili recipe???

This has been a favorite of my family for years. It's a bit of an unconventional chili, but I make it often and in huge batches (so there's lots of leftovers!). I personally serve it over pasta.

Re: Chili recipe???

THIS IS THICK STAND UP CHILLI NONE OF THAT RUNNY STUFF AROUND HERE.

WE LOVE chilli My favorite is in the crockpot as well. I would say to check out the crockpot/Slowcooker Sticky I know there are a few recipes for it This one has Several ingredients BUT its Litterly throw it in the Pot and walk away for 8 Hours BUT anyhow Mine is this:

*1 Lb Dry Beans any combo you like we use White navy, Pinto and Light Kidney
*1 Can of Chilli ready tomato
*1 can of Tomato sauce
*1quart of beef stock
*1 Cup of WATER
*1 Tblspoon Deydrated Garlic Chips (got them at costco its McCormic brand)
*1/4 C Deydrated Onions
1 Bell pepper diced

*2 Packages of Taco seasoning ANY brand or heat you like it gives Good dimension to the chilli that gives you Kick with out tearing up your Stomache
(You can also sub one of the packets for Fajita, chilli, or Meatloaf YES I said Meatloaf that has awesome ingredients in it as well)

*1Lb of Cubed meat (Chicken, beef, Turkey, Pork, Bison, Dear, whatever you like the best just make sure its put in RAW)
*1Lb of Ground Meat but precook and drain off the fat first

You can Omit the ground Meat or the Cubed meat if you only want limited meat but it will effect the Thickness of it.

Put everything in your crockpot cover with Stock and water Cover turn on High and walk away for 6-8 Hours!!!

You might have to add more water later if the beans soak them up quickly but I almost never do. It depends on how the weather is that day.
