That my DD is 18 months today and still going strong with nursing. I want to share this with people who appreciate it, because most people around me aren't supportive.

I am proud that I have made it here, it was hard in the beginning but so worth it!

Are you getting those comments like,
"If she's old enough to ask for it, she's too old to get it!"
and
"Oh poor baby, isn't mama feeding you REAL food yet?"

I can't stand how people can be so ignorant and judgmental. I nursed my son to 20 mos and would have gone longer if he wanted/needed to.

Congrats!

I'm getting loads of flack because I'm pregnant and still nursing our 15 month old. He doesn't "ask" yet other than signing for milk or complaining/snuggling up and patting....

But everyone has an opinion that he must/should be weaned by the time our little one arrives in November. I'm just not sure he or I are ready for that..

So -- CONGRATS!!!

Hopefully I can make it that far!

I know what you mean. My son is 13 months old and most of my family thinks it is "weird" to see a toddler that nurses. Either they make comments like "When are you going to wean him?" or warn me that he is going to nurse forever! I just ignore them or tell them I don't know yet when he is going to be weaned. I plan on letting him self-wean.
Congrats on making it to 18 mos! I know we will be there soon!

I just don't say anything anymore....he'll be 3 in December and I don't see him stopping....we will wean at 3 (I'll be on vacation then).
