Mei Tai carrier advice

Hi all,

I am considering a purchase of my first Mei Tai carrier and I understand there can be a quite a difference in quality depending on where it was made. Can anyone offer any advice as to what I should look for in a MT to make sure it is of good quality?

Padded shoulder straps. Get something that has a headrest is better to support babies head when they fall asleep. Shoulder straps that come out at an angle (not straight up)

If you head on over to there are tons of reviews. It's like the diaperswappers of babywearing. Beware though - it's just as addicting as cds.
