sudden sleep change for 4 month old?

In the last couple of days I have gone from a 4-month old who gladly takes naps on a eat-play-sleep cycle to barely taking naps at all and fighting them like crazy. He started rolling over (from tummy to back, yes, he's a tummy sleeper) a few days before this change. I'm accustomed to laying him down when I know he's ready and just rubbing his back for a minute and walking away, and now I'm spending 30-45 minutes trying to get him to sleep. Is there there an age milestone that I'm missing? What else could be happening?

When they start moving around they tend to have issues sleeping I've found. It happens with movement milestones sometimes. Crawling and walking are ones where it's hard for them to sleep, too.

Developmental changes normally cause interruptions in your routine. Things should start getting back to normal, and just when they do, something else will change. You'll be in a period of constant adjustment for a while.

Yup! just hang in there mama...if you can maybe do a baby massage right before nap time...that way your dc can have some time to relax and have a routine in place for nap time...good luck mama

Teething and learning something new. Both can upset their sleep patterns.
