Re: Should I invest in a diaper sprayer?

I LOVE mine!!! I use it ALL the time. It makes the difference between satined dipes and not stained dipes. Plus, the idea of throwing POOP in the washer....:bleck: I could never NOT spray off my diapers before washing....the ick factor gets to me.

How can we get one through a co-op and get a better price for everyone. I need one too.

Re: Should I invest in a diaper sprayer?

Ooh I hope my shower head will reach the toilet! I already have one of the hand held things, so I wouldn't have to buy anything! More diapers lol!

Saved me from switching back to sposies...my kids rarely have poop that just falls of into the toilet. I love mine and couldn't go without it...

Re: Should I invest in a diaper sprayer?

I CANNOT imagine cloth diapering with out it! We did with ds #2, but there were lots of toddler poopy diapers that I just wanted to throw away ROFL they were so gross. With all 3 girls we've had the diaper sprayer and love it.
That's what converted dh to cloth diapering the most. Before that he would just leave poopy diapers sitting on the changing table for me. Now over the yrs he has "Shown" of our diaper sprayer to friends with babies, cause he loves it so much.
We've had ours for over 4 yrs and it's still going strong. The button broke last yr and they replaced it free of charge, no shipping.
LOVE IT!

Although, once your DS switches to solids, it'll be even easier to get the poo off (it can just fall into the toilet most of the time), but it's good to have during those teething/diarrhea moments. And you'll start to see those beans IN the poo, BTW (just noticed that yesterday--blk. beans and sweet potatoes. )

I've never seen any great deals on them, but I love the mini shower from www.treecitydiapers.com (a DS mama w/ great CS). At one time there was a coop on diaper sprayers here. Wonder if they could do another. I'd love one for MIL and our Wed. babysitter. Nothing grosses me out more than having to dig thru the wetbag to clean off the diapers that've been pooped in. And opening the washer to find poo left behind just sucks. *off to recommend a diaper sprayer coop in the coop section*

Re: Should I invest in a diaper sprayer?

I could never bring myself to buy one because I couldn't get over the idea of the inevitable overspray. I think they sound like a great idea, but messy in a hard-to-see-with-your-eyes way. I used microfleece liners.

Re: Should I invest in a diaper sprayer?

I'm still torn.
My dd rarely has the kind of poop that just falls out.
And at 18 months it can be a lot of messy poop.
However, I am finding I can dump/ scrape most of it off and then put the dipe in the pail (folded) and hose it down with the length of rubber hose attached to our laundry tub spout (using the old thumb over spray trick to make the pressure) just before tossing in the wash. No staining issues this way, yet (we have done this maybe 8-10 times now).
I did it in the tub twice, but ICK!
SO I am undecided.
I don't know if it is needed for a newborn? But I am guessing not and we may pass.
However I'd be into a co-op!
