Late to the game, quick question - does anyone know how this works on persistent repelling? I'm curious to try it and annoyed out of my head with some diapers I bought off of craigslist that WILL NOT STOP REPELLING.
TIA!

Hmm, I may have to try this. We're getting the 'OMG MY EYES' stink from DS's pee diapers since we got a new FLing washer a few weeks ago And I use regular Tide in every load!

Well, it seems as though the repelling has subsided but the stinkies have definitely not. I have stopped using the cloth diapers at night now because it only seems to really stink when they're REALLY soaked. Hopefully this will help... so far so good.

I believe the same results would be if you used baking soda...or borax - for those looking for the cheaper way to accomplish the same thing. It does work great!

wondering what you've tried, if anything's worked, etc. I have super hard water and Im having repelling issues too.
i tested a spare piece i had, to make sure it wouldnt melt, lol.
i poured vinegar on to saturate the spot, then sprinkled oxy on it, like carpet fresh. it didnt foam, it sat like carpet fresh. then i poured more vinegar on it. left it sit for about 10 minutes and then scrubbed it, blotted up the vinegar, and
WOW. spots i couldnt clean up with any cleaner, or shampooer, nothing worked, but this did!

ANTICIPATION lots of instock yarn at reasonable prices!
So I did it. I took 9 inserts, lay them in my tub and poured 2 1/2 gallons of vinegar over... then sprinkled a good 5 or 6 scoops of oxyclean on top. Lots of foam.
I figure this way will be easier to rinse them, and I don't have to do just 2 or 3 at a time.
Hopefully it works!
