Re: Beyooond bad customer service

I'm glad you contacted her family. I feel that's the only way you have gotten communication with her. Yes, it's taking it far but you did what you had to do and it worked. With some people, yes, you have to take it that far to get results and that's sad. You wouldn't have had to go to those great lengths if she would have answered previous emails and other attempts at communicating. Really sad....glad she has closed her shop.

Well, I don't think contacting her family was the best thing to do (though I would have contacted the police in her area to find out about charges against her), but I am glad that you are getting your money back. I would be very cautious about taking money from another pp account from her. I think I'd call pp and ask them about it..... Maybe if they have her new account info they can just seize it....

She can charge back on a request, the best thing to do is have her transfer the money into the account that already has the charges on it, OR call paypal and tell them to link the 2 accounts incase you aren't the only one!

I would file a JAR too... the fact that she has a new paypal account would bother me... almost as if she were going to re-open under a new persona.

I think you should call PP and talk to them about the situation.

I do think that contacting family was on the extreme side, but had this been a brick and mortar store you could have picketed with a sign out front... At least it got some results. I hope you get your money back!

She's sent me the additional $24 as a payment owed. The refund for the $134 ia atill under paypal review. But it is coming from her original paypal account (at least I think so because it is still the old email address).

I think she IS opening a new business somewhere (I don't know online or a brick & mortar store)....because that's the business she sent me the $24 from. How could I alert others to this WAHM? THere's no point in leaving feedback on HC anymore cos she's no longer there....and I think she does not come on DS anymore.....I don't want others to get similarly scammed.

Re: Beyooond bad customer service

No matter how bad the service was, contacting her mother is NOT appropriate, even if you were civil. I'd be so mad if a family member had a business and somebody got my info from their Facebook and contacted me. Unless the mother is a partner in the business, she is not responsible for her daughter's debts.

How would you feel if it was reversed, and you were the one who didn't pay and she contacted your mother?

I'm not excusing what she did, but scamming people doesn't make her family open game.
