I have 1 year old Fraternal Twin Girls! I'm glad we had twins first, but I am praying to have a singleton some day!

And I bow down before all triplet moms!!!

My identical twin boys are almost 15 months old. I was pregnant with them while active duty army (serving in Korea) and they were born in Korea. They bring so much joy and laughter to each day. Oh, I became a SAHM when they were about 6 months! They are still BF. We started CD at about 6 months.

Does anyone else with multiples get a little annoyed at all of the people who stare and point at your babies? When I was growing up I was always told that it was rude to stare or point. What about the people who talk about your babies, but they act as if you can't hear what they are saying about your babies.

I think some of the comments I hate the most are about how much trouble it must be to raise them. My babies are the biggest blessings! It just seems that if you're out in public with the babies there is never any peace!

This is the most common question I get, "Are they twins?" LOL I don't get it!

i have twin boys, fraternal. they are 17 months old. still bfing, and have been cd since they were about 2.5 weeks old. it is really starting to be fun now with the two of them. that first year though.....my dh and i always use to say how easy it would be with just one, and how much harder it would be if we ended up with three (we did iui)!

yea, i get a lot of the 'you must be busy' comments, but i always say 'all moms are busy' and they have to sort of think about that, like of course, that's true!

i am hoping to have a singleton (ha! like we get to choose!) one day. we'll see!!

Hehe!! We have a lot in common!! I was AD Army until about 4 months into my pregnancy. They did a rapid discharge because our unit was deploying and they wanted all chapters dealt with before the regular company commanders were gone!

One of my BIGGEST pet peeves is the comments that imply how much trouble they are (double trouble) or how they must keep me busy in a way that implies I would want otherwise. You all will get a laugh out of this one. This one day I'm out grocery shopping during the workday so I had to take the girls. I have them in their stroller (a SBS) and I'm pushing it with one hand, holding my shopping list in that hand, and pulling the cart behind me with the other hand, holding my pen in my mouth. I must have been stopped 20 times for everyone to comment to me about how "Twins? Oh, you MUST have your hands full." By the end of the shopping trip (which only took TWICE as long as usual) I had HAD it and actually pulled the pen out of my mouth and said to the person "What EVER gave you that impression, the fact that I have to pull the cart behind me or that I have to keep my pen in my mouth to prevent myself from mouthing off to all the rude people who won't let me just do my shopping?" I was just so mad. Shopping is pretty much the ONE time when I DO feel like I have my hands full KWIM???

You're lucky you got the rapid discharge. My commander wouldn't do the paperwork while I was pregnant so that is why I got out after they were born.

I love your story about your trip at the grocery store. I wish I was there. I feel like saying things like that all the time. That's just too funny!!!

I only got lucky because of the deployment. I guess normally they keep women in until 30 days before their due date. I'm SO glad I was able to get a rapid discharge. There was a lot of issues with the women's clinic here not addressing mine and DH's concerns properly. I was able to go home to California, where my family is, and get some decent medical care.

That's how I used to shop. I also had my older ds bouncing along the way. Then my girls decided they didn't want to sit in the stroller anymore, they would wiggle and wiggle until they would come out of their straps. Now, I only take all three for quick trips. I have found that absolutely no eye contact with people helps on the comments.

I thought the first six months were the hardest. It seems like it got a little bit easier, but I think now it is hard hard hard (they are 23 mos). My girls fight. One, especially, does not co-exist well with her older brother. They fight all.the.time. It's really frustrating. They are also the messiest eaters ever. They have yet to understand that food does not belong in your hair and your full plate never belongs on the floor. I will say though, they can be the sweetest little things ever.

We do get less comments now. I don't know if it's age related or not, but usually I just smile and keep walking. The comment that has annoyed me the most is "They don't look like twins".

I have 4.5yr old b/g twins....oh and I am so glad they came first and my singleton later.....don't know how mamas do it the other way around.
