I have a spatula too. Works great, but he isn't bf anymore and I only use pockets. If he's sick that's a different story. Then I just get as much off as possible and use my washing machine as wet cold pail until the end of the day. I add tea tree oil and baking soda and let them sit. Then run a prewash and then of course wash. I don't really care for the paper liners. They aren't great with a heavy wetter I've found and also get a bunched up with my on the go little man.
