Re: Placenta Encapsulation

Great thread! Thanks so much for sharing info and pictures!!!

I hemorrhaged after both of my births and I swear that I will be consuming my placenta somehow if I ever have another baby. Great stuff!

Re: Placenta Encapsulation

Wow... I am amazed at how many women are so horrified and offended by these pictures and this thread in general. A little research and an open mind go a LONG way. Just sayin.

thank you for this. I suffer horrible PPAnxiety with the boys and extremely low milk supply (even after ALL things that are supposed to boost) I will be doing this next time.

Mine has sat in the freezer since Feb. now, but if I encapulate them are they usable for after the next delivery?

It is not out of meanness or rudeness but it is not yours unless you ask for paypal address or you ask me to hold it for you because we are working on a deal. Asking for more pics does not mean we are in the middle of a deal

I read that three weeks is about as long as you want to keep it frozen...I think I saw that on the Placenta Benefits website. Maybe someone else has more information...

I am so happy to find someone close by who will do this! Now, to discuss with the hubby and come up with some finances to do it.

Re: Placenta Encapsulation

Wish I would have known about this before! I suffered ppd with both pregs and hemorrhaged very severely after my second (I almost died in fact, dh still doesn't like to talk about the whole thing). If I would have known about this I would have done it for sure.

Re: Placenta Encapsulation

I just wanted to give an update
DH encapsulated my placenta after I gave birth, it was time consuming (just because we have 3 kids really) but pretty simple. I didnt have one bit of ppd (something that I kind of expected to deal with even if just mildly). Actually, I'm 4 weeks pp and in these past few weeks I have been the happiest I think I've been in my life! Seriously! Also my bleeding was really mild and my milk supply has been just fine despite the fact that I have a very sleepy baby who probably doesnt nurse as often as he should.

We think placenta encapsulation is great Even now anytime I get a little emotional DH will ask if I need to take a pill!
