I finished my first soaker - acrylic

I finished my first soaker! I made it from cheapie acrylic yarn from wal-mart. Didn't want to use good wool for my first try!


what do you ladies think?

my only thing that I just really don't like and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong is on the back (see the close-up picture) then the seam shows - I don't know what I'm doing wrong there? It said to slip stitch and that is what I did but I don't like how that shows.

any suggestions anyone?

Thanks ladies! I just wish I knew what I was doing wrong on my slip stitch that it is looking that way.

Nise's Soaker Pattern - it is a free one online - you can click that name in my first post and it should take you to the site with the pattern.

Nise's was my first soaker, too! Your first attempt is way better than mine was. I had that same seam issue on my first one. I don't slipstitch my seams anymore, since I can't get it to look right. I join with single crochet on the inside. It's nearly invisible from the outside, but does leave a ridge inside, but I don't care. It's helped a lot! Good work!
