How do you sort/hold your machine needles?

I'm at my wits' end with my system, which is to keep all the machine needles in their original packages in a drawer organizer. What typically happens is the needles fall out, and then I have a mix of needles in the bottom of the organizer and I can't tell which ones are semi-sharp and which ones are which.

I'd love to find a little organizer, maybe a smaller version of my drawer organizer, that would hold the needle packages upright so they don't fall out and make finding the right needles easy. Google has failed me. Anybody know of such a thing or have something else creative to hold their needles?

an easy solution is to get a few cheap bars of soap. wrap them with some plain white cotton material. on the side of the bars you can put needle size/ used/ new ect. using a marker. then just put needles is top standing up. the soap will also help the needles go threw your material easier when used.

I have a bead organizer that I bought at Joann's that I just put the needles in and I label what kind of needle is in which slot. Just don't get the kind where you can change out the size of the compartments because the needles can slide between slots if the sliders are loose.
