Please help--Swaddlebees pricing/trading question?

I am finally trying to trade/sell my 2 swaddlebees that I've used less than 5 times each (probably 2 times each, but I don't want to underestimate, kwim?).

I paid $20 each, PLUS shipping for these when I got them, including the inserts. They are the side-snapping pockets, and I just never got into the pocket thing.

So, did I get really screwed with this one? I've just been told (because I'm trying to make a trade with these) that these are only $15 new!

If I paid $20, should I take a $10 loss on them? How much would you sell/trade them for? I am at a complete loss here!

Sorry to say that yes I think you paid too much in the first place. I sucks when you find you paid too much for an item but you're not alone it happens to alot of people. I think you will end up either having to take an even bigger loss or just continue to use the dipes and get your moneys worth out of them. As a buyer of used dipes I know that I don't want to pay full price for a diaper that I could buy new even if it was only used one time it is still a used item. I hope you sell it or get a great trade for it soon.

Yes, they are $15 new and it sounds like you did pay too much for them. I agree with the pp that you will either have to take a loss on them or get your moneys worth out of them by using them. I think we've all been in a situation where we've paid too much for something and regretted it later when we found it cheaper. I would say you can probably get $13 or so for your Swaddlebees, but some people won't even pay that.

Most places they are around $15 new. But that does not include the insert which is $3 to $4 too. But most mommas won't pay extra for used inserts. They just expect those to be included. At least that is my experience.

I've never seen SB that expensive before! But if you do a trade, you would probably get more of your $$ back than if you tried to sell them. You'd probably get $13ppd at the MOST each if you tried to sell them, that's including the insert.

Well, I know I replied to this, but it's not here!

Anyway, just wanted to thank you for your input!
Seriously, I want to make good deals, but I don't want to rip any one else off, or get ripped off either, kwim?

I'm going to assume you got hemp inserts. Swaddlebees pockets retail for $14.95 for the pocket and the hemp inserts are $5 when purchased w/ the diaper ($5.95 otherwise). So no, you did not get screwed.
