I got the DS virus (on my work computer of all places!

) a few months ago. Now I know what it looks like and can usually shut down if it makes a stab at my computer. I mentioned this to another DS mama on FBK, and she said that the DS virus was supposedly "not an issue anymore."

So I just wanted to let the mods know that the virus has tried to get me several times since I had it, and twice on my work computer these past two days. It is still out there.

Just and FYI.

Anyone else having these issues?

We know about the issue and need you to take a screenshot so the techs can track it down.

OK. If I get it again I will do that.

I just wanted to make sure because I heard from another mama that the mods said it was no longer an issue.

I haven't seen where any mods said it was no longer and issue mama, but if you get it please screenshot it. We did get another mama screenshot what popped up on her comp so I am going to send that tot he techs so they can track it down faster.

I had something pop-up the other day for the first time ever. Very worrysome. I use Firefox with ABP, so it's not really an issue to me. Except I have an iPod touch that I use constantly while I lay in bed with the kiddos at night before I'm tired. It popped up the other day and it scared me so bad, I'm hesitant to get back on it on the iPod. You can't (to my knowledge) get anti-virus for them, and I wouldn't begin to know how to debug the thing. And there's also no way to screen shot it.

Can someone explain what this virus is and what I should be looking for? This is the first I have heard of the DS virus!

For me, it was immediate transfer - while I was reading & not clicking - to another site that sent up a pop up saying I was infected, then going to a page made to look like the "My Computer" section of a PC, with files just deleting, if I remember correctly. Thing is, iPods don't have Windows. They're Mac! I knew it was fake & malicious. It must be an advertisement that creates it.

I just had one of those the other day.
I X'd out and started over. I'll try to screen shoot it next time too, but then who to give it to?
Is it only if you continue on with it that you get the bug? So if you see it pop up but don't do anything about it you're good?

Ive been having this problem too, atleast once/week, and today it happened too. Says my pc is critically infected. But when run a check with my AVH, it says theres no problems.

Mom to a girl - 5, a boy - 3, and Baby - 1 ISO squishy nighttime fitteds, but I could also be tempted by knit or crocheted wool (longies or hats for my baldie) or anything sock monkey.
