colds that last a looooong time with off-and-on fevers?
Both of my girls have had colds for over a month now! They've had runny noses pretty much the whole time, coughs that come and go, and fevers that come and go (all under 101) They've had good appetites, haven't acted very sick, and have been sleeping pretty well.... what the heck is going on? I'm bringing them to my aunt who is a PA tomorrow to make sure they don't have secondary infections. Have your kids done this before? The off-and-on fevers seem really weird to me. They'll have it for 2 days, gone for 3, back for 2... but they don't seem all that sick. Anyone have kids that have BTDT?

The only thing I can think of is that they're getting back-to-back colds and then giving it to each other. My DD went through that for a couple months when she was little. Good luck figuring it out and I hope they finally get well soon!

That was my DS last winter! It felt like he was "kinda sick" for soooo long! Like the PP mentioned, our doctor also thought it could just be that he was getting back to back colds.

agreeing with the PP's, back to back colds is most likely.
DD has been sick for the last five or six weeks. And she has NOT been sleeping well. Poor mama is exhausted over here! She has been to the ped 4 times and was tested for several things, all negative. They finally put her on antibiotics just to try to kick it, whatever it is. I normally wouldn't agree with just throwing antibiotics at it when we don't know what is going on, but hey, I like me some sleep. We are on day 3 of the antibiotics and already it has been a huge improvement. She only woke up once last night! I am thrilled.

Could be an ear infection. I have had that happen twice with my 5yr old dd.

The last time DS seemed like he had a cold for a month, he was diagnosed with a sinus infection.
