Re: Flats Picture Thread

OK - this is picture overload... but I'm excited about my flats! I loved prefolds, but he's in that too big for tiny prefolds, too small for everything else stage. I've made fitteds that I love, especially under longies - but I can't stand how long they take to dry. Now I have discovered my MASTER FOLD!!! THis works perfect for my super-soaky little boy - aka - lots of wet in front. It's quite like the kite/corner folds, but I haven't seen a tutorial similar to this - so I wanted to post in case it can be helpful!

These are LL flats. GREAT flats! But it was tricky finding a fold that worked because they're not perfectly square. This one's working great!

Oh - and a small bamboo flat that I fold up for a doubler for naps. You definitely need some kind of doubler.

I LOVE my GMD flats - they are wide enough that I can fold them in half, fold the back down extra for the snappi, and then fold the rise up to what I need as I'm putting them on - super simple and works great for my chubby almost 2 dd... I use a doubler though since we need the extra absorbency. And they're soo nice to line dry!

Re: Flats Picture Thread

What an awesome thread! I started out with flats with my little 6 lb baby girl. (I had Nothing else that would fit her yet) Used the Gerber gauze flats I picked up at target in the clearance area. Went searching the Internet looking for some way to fold it and fell in love with the origami fold.

Now we go through phases. One week it's nothing but Bg Organics, another it's all flats, Next is Prefolds and covers or cover less if we don't need to go anywhere all day. I love variety!

Thanks for the Awesome Tute. I have always had issues with trying to get a good fit around my babies skinny legs. I'm also now itching to dye 12 of my 24 LL prefolds. Can't till easter as I want to try easter egg dyes. Anyone else used those on cloth?
