I have all of the fabrics (unbleached, bamboo, and organic) and I like having them all. The absorbency seems to be the same for all of them. I love the bamboo for it's trimness and softness. The cotton ones don't stay quite as soft as the bamboo, but if you use ecover or another CD friendly fabric softener once in awhile that'll solve that (I live in Malaysia and don't have access to them here ) If you want trim, choose bamboo. I've only used them for 3 months, so I don't know how the bamboo holds up compared to the cotton, but I read that one person had used both for a year and said that the cotton were holding up better, so that's another thing to consider.

I'm so glad to hear that they work well! I'm expecting my first baby and bought 7 ME OS organic fitteds and 1 ME OS AIO from someone used. They look like they're really well made and I've heard such great reviews.

What kind of covers work best with the ME OS fitteds?

I haven't tried thirsties, but a lot of people say they work. I've tried and loved the motherease airflow, dappi nylon pants, blue penguin p.o.s.o

But even more, I love wool pull on soakers!! I have a royal buns and a woollybottom and both are excellent coverage and I use them at night. I need to wash them so I put a dappi on my daughter for nap today and she was NOT happy about it, she wanted her yellow wool cover back! She was saying "don't put that one, I want my yellow one!" Ah well, she got over it and she'll be happy to have her yellow one back tomorrow.

Oh, Mommy's touch one size covers work okay too, but not quite as well as the above ones. I've heard that the econobum covers the MEOS well, but the flip doesn't quite. I haven't tried either, though.

Also Sbish covers are excellent! Over a MEOS was my fave diaper combo until DS4 started getting rashes from wool.
