I didn't calculate the age of your ds but mine is 16 mos and he reacts that way to loud noises/crowds. My dd was that way at his age too and she's outgrown it for the most part, only on occaision will she still react sensitively to a loud sound. I think it's normal for some kids, usually the more laid back quiet ones? We aren't a loud family either. My dh also seems to have sensitive ears which makes me wonder if it may be genetic. I have thought about bringing it up to their doc before but I am not sure it's something to worry about, honestly I keep forgetting! Sometimes I feel if you go looking for a "label" then they'll give it to you, seems like their is a diagnosis for any and everything nowadays!! My advice is to just go with your gut, mommas have a way of knowing if something is really not right. Good luck!
