Need newborn wool help

My dd is 7 weeks old and all of her wool is wet when I change her. Even if her fitted or pf is just barely wet. I'm thinking it's from compression since my DS has NO problems with wool getting wet and the wool is the same brand and washed/lanolized the same way. How can I avoid this compression wicking without having to change dd every hour or more often. I tried to stay on top of her yesterday to keep her from getting the wool wet, but if I didn't change her almost immediately the soaker is wet (like her peeing while nursing, she finishes the feeding, then I change her...if I let her finish nursing before changing her, the wool gets wet). I'm wanting to take her out in her adorable skirties, but they keep getting wet. Also, when they do get wet, do I have to wash them or can I let them dry and use them next time like regular covers?
Thanks
