Tie Dye AIOs?

I just bought some white AIO's that have seen better days on the inside. I've never "dyed" before (ha ha) so this is just a quickie question...

has anyone ever dyed an AIO? I'm 90% sure the PUL won't turn out.. but really, the interior is what I'm kind of grossed out by. Sunning hasn't helped...even with lemon juice and blazing sunny days. And yes, I know there are other ways to work on the stain.... but I'd like to know of any experiences with dying AIOs... thanks y'all.

Re: Tie Dye AIOs?

I've never dyed an AIO, but I have dyed LOTS of other stuff, and tried to dye pul. pul doesn't hold dye, at least not ones made for natural fibers (duh!). It looks real pretty until you get to the cold rinse part, and does retain a little bit of tint to it, but doesn't dye. I wouldn't think that there woudl be a problem dying the dipes, though, because the natural fibers would hold the colors, even though the pul would wash out. One caution though...fabric dyes don't cover stains, so choose a color that you can live with having darker splotches of

I dyed some Sullybunz that were great diapers, but looked a little rough. The inside fleece took just fine, but the outside stayed white. They look super cute. Unfortunately it DIDN'T cover the stains.

When I tie-dyed to cover brown staining, it actually made the stains stand out MORE.
