Vineger to colorset wool?

Anyone know how to do this? A bunch of my wool bleeds and I've heard vinegar can help but I don't want to ruin anything.

Re: Vineger to colorset wool?

This is from the Stacinator website:
**Note** Dark colored wool will bleed.
*tip* For bleeding wool, mix 3 cups white vinegar with 3tbsp salt, wet wool in lukewarm water, add to vinegar/salt mixture. Microwave for two, 3minute sessions. Allow to COMPLETELY cool, rinse in lukewarm water, wash, re-lanolize. (if you rinse before allowing to completely cool, you may unintentionally felt your garment)

I soak my wool yarn in warm water with vinegar before dyeing it with Koolaid...I haven't had any bleeding, but then again I don't use dark, dark colors...
