ear infections
Is there a way to keep my DD (6) from getting them? She takes showers.. Doesnt have allergies or a sniffly nose most of the time.
Are there any natural way to "fix" them with out going to the DR? Any advise would be helpful! Thanks ![]() ![]() Advertisement

Re: ear infections
Does she use a binky/pacificer? If she does, that could contribute to chronic ear infections (did w/Ivy).
For natural remedies, you can use garlic/mullein ear drops. I get mine from mountain rose herbs.

Re: ear infections
A mixture of 50% white vinegar and 50% alcohol warmed to slightly warmer than room temp, 3-4 drops in infected ear 3-4 times per day will 'cure' and ear infection. The acidity in the vinegar will restore the proper ph balance in the ear. It's worked for us every time!

Re: ear infections
Train her to not get water in her ears. I've never heard of anyone getting ear infections because of showers. And I had chronic ear infections as a kid (until I was 8 and then I still had them, just went down to 2 a year or so), so I have experience with them. You could also get her some ear plugs.

Re: ear infections
We tried everything at one point. But according to dd's ENT some kids/environments are more prone to them. Needless to say dd is on her second set of tubes.
The ear plugs are def a good idea but moisture can still get in even out of the shower. |
