??? about making prefitteds

I want to make some prefitteds for my dd and I was wondering what is generally used for the soaker part. I have some hemp french terry coming, would this be good? How many layers should I use for a VERY heavy wetter?
I also want to top it with fleece. How are the soakers usually sewn on? Would it work ok just to sew it on at one end, so it's not completely sewn in?
Thanks!!!

Re: ??? about making prefitteds

The TTs I just got have the soaker sewn into the front of the PF. I think sewing it into the back would look best...
I prefer to snap them in for some reason--but am still waiting on the snap fairy to give me a used one I can afford!
You can use the leftover PF material to make a soaker--I plan to use that on the bottom, a layer of hemp jersey (once it gets ordered from the co-op) and microfleece on top--all serged together.
