Re: Sicker with boys or girls?

For me, the gender of the baby had nothing to do with it.

1st-boy-morning sickness bad for 5 months
2nd-girl-not bad, threw up once
3rd-boy-not bad, threw up a few times
4th-girl-not too long, but very strong, landed me in ER once

Re: Sicker with boys or girls?

my MIL has two girls and two boys... she was constantly sick with the boys and not at all with the girls. her daughter was sick with her son but it's their only so far.

I have one of each and there was no difference between them. sick with both. :P

Re: Sicker with boys or girls?

Hm, it'll be interesting to see how this turns out!

So far it seems like I get twice a sick as I did with the previous pregnancy. I was thinking it was going to hold true this time again, but I'm actually feeling (dare I say it?) decent this morning. I'm still really worried about it getting as bad as last time. But DH was traveling for work through the whole thing and he's been a huge help this time, bless his heart.

I'm just anxious to find out what it is! We haven't decided whether to find out or not, so I'm trying to use any little clue to figure it out, LOL!

That was true for my two - I had no probs w/ Gavin, but felt MUCH more nauseous w/ Claire.

Re: Sicker with boys or girls?

There's been some small studies done on this. It was shown in the studies that women get sicker with girls then they do with boys and they said it haves something to do with the high estrogen levels in the baby and the mother.

IME... With Ian and Patrick I had no morning sickness at all. With Lauren I had it from the beginning until my 6 months. It went away and came back in my 8th months. It was awful. There were days where I did not get out of bed because any movement would make it worse. It was awful!
