Changing Avitar

I have the worst trouble with photos in general on DS. I'd like to change my avitar but I think my image is too big. I tried uploading it to photobook and pasting the link but that didn't work either. How do I resize my image to make it work? My pic is over a year old and I have no idea how I did it back then.

Have you tried clicking User CP and then edit avatar and then browse pick your pic and upload that way? If not try that...that is how I always do it.

That is the way I've always done it but it says my files are too big...I'm not sure how to make the file smaller.

Take the small image in your Photobucket... the preview image and right click on it. "Save" that. Then open up "Microsoft Paint" in your start menu. Open up that picture with that. Click "Resize" and reduce the size to perhaps 60%. Then Save it. Go to Photobucket... upload the new image... and use THAT link in your avatat =)

Hmm...I have always saved my AVI pics onto my desktop from my FB...I think when I do that they are automatically smaller so I don't ever have to use other software to resize...maybe you could try that if you have a FB.
