I love my Pediatrician

So, I bought the topic of non vaxing up at yesterdays 12 month visit.

He was great about it and took the time to talk in detail about everything. He said that he will support our decision either way!

We did discuss however, that our family situation means that we travel overseas and come into contact with people from countries where diseases can be prevelent from very little vaxing the the country at all.

So, considering that a) she'shad 4 previous batches of shots, plus shes at higher risk for coming into contact with some diseases, I decided to vax.

I just wanted to tell you all that... its great that he sat down and discussed it with me as an equal, and respected my opinions and concerns.

Oh and also, he encourages extended breastfeeding! He told me 'to let her (dd) lead the way'

That is really wonderful! My Ped is the same way, which surprised me because he is quite old. He has been very supportive and respectful.
