I know that drying diapers in the sun will help the stains to go away. What if that isn't an option (for lack of a backyard) then how do you get the stains out.

Can you put them by a window? They do not necessarily need sun, the stains come out on cloudy day too.

Yes oxyclean would work. I would not use vinegar though many mama's use it for either ammonia smell or to soften dipes.

We only use fitteds, flats, and PFs so I use 1/4 cup of bleach in my diaper wash every 4-6 weeks. With this routine I've never had a stain, stink, or buildup issue... nor has my son ever had a rash.

I wouldn't use anything... stains never hurt anyone! Just sun them when you have a chance.

I wouldn't risk using Oxyclean or vinegar - might void any warranties, or cause issues with PUL or elastic.

When I bought my FB, I asked them about oxyclean and she said it was safe to use occasionally to strip. So yes I would not use every load but once in a while would be ok.
