Tell me about wool...
Well I've discovered that I'm loving wool!
![]() We just got a babyology wool cover (shorts) and I absolutely love it on dd. Can anyone explain to me the in's and out's of wool? What's the difference between covers and soakers? 100% wool vs acrylic? What about wool jersey? Any good links that might help me out? Thanks in advance mamas! ![]() Jen Advertisement |

Re: Tell me about wool...
Wool covers are usually made out of something like wool jersey fabric. Soakers are usually crocheted or knit out of yarn. I have all three types, and my preference for night time use is the crocheted wool. It is much thicker and has larger holes so it breathes better. But since it's thicker it is also bullet-proof. I like knit sometimes because it is stretchier, and there are definitely more options, since there are more of them for sale. I don't see much use personally for wool soakers (fabric) because I get compression leaks with wool if it is under clothes. If I want to use wool, I just use my shorties.
I got a really cheap set of three shorties from baa baby naturals, and they came really quickly, too. This is our out and about wool because they are really cute! I think the website is www.baa-babynaturals.com I will definitely be buying more once her customs list goes down a bit!
