Sandals for a 16 month old

I want to get my daughter a pair of sandals but I'm not sure if I should. I am afraid she'll catch the front on the ground and fall a lot. Is this your experience? Are there any that are a little curved in the front? I was looking at the Pedoodles, these: http://www.pedoodles.com/product.php/35/11/ Does anyone have those?

Also, I heard Pedoodles run big. My DD wears a 5 - 5 1/2. Should I get the large, 12-18 months?

See Kai Run Eve sandals are good. Bobux makes some soft soled ones too but I have to say our pedipeds are my fave! Lu has the T strap white ones with cut outs on the front. Love them!

stride-rite does some nice soft kiddy sandals (even better if they have an outlet near you . . . )

Re: Sandals for a 16 month old

We love pedoodles at our house- but we haven't tried the sandals... As far as the sizing goes- my son wears a 5 (stride rite sizing) and can still fit in his 12-18 month green runners but only with thin socks. I have the same green runners in the 18-24 month size and they are way too big right now. I'd say you'd be good for the summer with the 12-18 month size.
We just bought sandals for ds- I was on the lookout for some that covered his toes. I still wanted him to have all 5 toes by the end of summer I actually found a pair of Faded Glory fisherman type sandals at wal-mart that I'm really happy with- really flexible soles too. I never thought I'd find shoes I'd be satisfied with at Wally-World, but..... (sorry, I went off on a tangent )
