I had a good appointment too. She's weighing in at 1.7lbs and NO defects are detected. Of course, I got the "nothing is 100%" speech also but I'm happy with this news. My 4th son had Pulmonary Stenosis so she already had higher odds because of that, then the 2 vessel cord, so I was pretty relieved.

My oldest has severe pulmonary valve stenosis too. How old is your son?

LesLee- that's awesome! Will you still keep following up with ultra sounds?

My appointment also went well. Baby definitely has a 2 vessel cord, as expected. No other abnormalities. Heart and kidneys look good witch is 2 common issues with SUA.

They made sure I know that I'm at risk for Downs since I'm 40...but other than the 2 vessel cord, there's no signs of any problems. They offered blood work etc, witch I turned down again . They said nothing is 100%.

Baby weighed 1 lb 4 oz and is right on track. I will have a regular ultra sound every 4weeks to monitor growth and amniotic fluid.

Kelley, I got the same talk about Downs. The maternal-fetal specialist who did the level 2 ultrasounds seemed to be a bit of a scare tactic guy on that regard. He quoted me statistics that were quite a bit higher than the OB had told me. I also declined the bloodwork. It doesn't matter to me if the baby does have DS at birth, even though he's not showing signs of it now.

Re: August 2016 April Chat

They quoted me very off statistics also. They may have been including the SUA I those numbers, but they were still off.

19 weeks tomorrow and I think the HG is returning. The nausea and retching came back last night after being gone for almost for 3.5 weeks. On the positive side I am feeling some light kicks rather than just movement. It is a sharp contrast to DS2 who kicked violently from 15 weeks.
