Best wipes fabric?

Is there an ideal fabric for wipes? I have some from a WAHM with sherpa and sometiems it seems to retain smells

My favorite are flannel/sherpa and I haven't gotten any smells. I also have some flannel/terry that I like too though!

I think it's very individual I LOVE my sherpa and velour wipes and I haven't noticed any smells either

i enjoy using flannel one side and bamboo terry on the other.. perfect.. i also use 6x6 for the size..

I've got some velour/sherpa that don't retain smells either. I've also got some flannel/flannel that I made. I'm hoping to make some velour/flannel at some point too... (when I get to it on my huge to-do list).

I actually love the material used to make baby towels and washcloths, I think it's called french terry, it has the perfect combo of softness and texture for wipeing baby bums. My whole wipes stash is made of this and I think they're 8x8 which fits perfectly in the wipes warmer when folded in half.

I have some WAHM made ones that I love. They are flannel on one side, and terry on the other. I got them from Wee Essentials on Etsy. I love them so much I've bought ones to give to two friends who just had babies.
