I've already told DH that I'm not sure I'm going to be able to mow anymore; bouncing on a mower + 4m pregnant = got to pee every 15 minutes. Plus, it literally takes me two days to complete during DS nap time.

I don't know, I'm starting to feel a little begrudgingly towards DH when he gets to come in, eat his dinner and then relax while I'm still trying to clean the kitchen, get DS ready for bed and any other task left unfinished. Yet then I feel guilty, b/c he works 11-12 hours a day, 5-6 days a week; why shouldn't he get to come home and relax?

Ugh, so you think I should ask DH to help me out or am I just whining and need to suck it up?
Hugs to you mama! You do have lots on your plate! I hope that you do ask for help.

When i first got married 8 years ago my hubby did the cooking, laundry, garbage and tons of other stuff. Then I started helping. I didn't know how to cook when we got married or do the My mom loved doing it..but thats another story. Today I help with dinner. I do the laundry...but he will do it if there is lots. He always does the garbage and kitty litter boxes. He mows the lawns and does all the gardening...he loves it! We clean the house together too....although when he is at work I try to get the house in order so there isnt too much for him to its not all the time that he has to pitch in. The kids are in bed by 7:30 and then its our time to relax!

That sounds familiar too.

I'm certainly not the mama who does it all so brilliantly that DH comes home to a set table and gets handed his slippers (despite the ideal my In-Laws seem to have for a SAHM). Your list sounds over-the-top to me. I was exhausted just reading it. As so many other posters said, if you feel like you're sinking, yell for a life ring.

Men are not clairvoyant. They don't even get subtlety. But I think one thing you might consider is how to approach your husband in a way that will make him likely to respond positively. Do you have enough time together as a couple? I mean, real intimate time? It sounds paradoxical, but I suggest you talk to your husband about making time for each other, each and every day. You'll have to work together to make that time happen. You might be surprised how skilled he can be at household duties.
