I want a womens boxer brief pattern.....

I'm finding boxer briefs (also called boy briefs almost exactly like mens boxer briefs but without the front opening) much more comfy these days but it seems they arent a popular undies choice because i literally had one pkg of patterned undies to choose from at wally world.
sooo i was thinking i might make some of my own.... but i need a sewing pattern....suggestions?

I'd just copy the pair you really like. It isn't hard to do at all! Just remember to add seam allowance.

yes, that. There was an otto that had a pattern for that style, no fly or anything, but similar. We also have a ditto daddy pattern, I bet you could take the size and ramp it up to fit.

I purchased a pattern to make for my DH. You could buy a mens but then you would have to adjust for hips. Tracing one you already have that fits will be easier.

Re: I want a womens boxer brief pattern.....

I just read Nicole's post from a few years ago inquiring about where to find a pattern to make women's boxer briefs. I am also interested in making briefs and am having difficulty finding a pattern, or even a YouTube video. Did you ever find a pattern or discover how to make the shorts? The problem I've run into is how to sew a crouch into the shorts.

Please advise. Likewise, I'll let you know if I find anything. Thanks

P.S. There are a few online sites where you can buy women's boxer briefs. One is called Focx and the other is GWBB. Both are marketed for a lesbian demographic and their designs were too masculine for me, but we all have different taste so check them out online.

This is the pattern I have. I like sewing it with 95/5 cotton lycra fabric, then I have comfy shorts to wear underneath skirts. For undies, the only change I would make is to use something other than cotton lycra for the waistband. I find it tends to get quite a bit looser during the day. Fabric with higher lycra content, poly/lycra blends, adding elastic to the waistband, using fold over elastic.... there are lots of options out there.
