Unsupported post-partum?

I have no partner(my ex is in jail), I work. I have two boys age 3 and 6. I just plan on never getting sleep. I have family close but they all work full time jobs. I was considering get a "mothers helper " for a few weeks but probably won't be able to afford it. It sucks but it's life.

we are 10-12 hours from family so this time noone is allowed to come until the baby comes...then my in laws will come help for about 5 days. With michael my mom came 40-41 (they all still work too), then had to leave, my inlaws came 41-42 when michael was finally born, and then had to leave the same day and i had no help. I struggle with ppd pretty bad so no help would not end well. Hopefully after the weekish of help then dh can take a few days of leave and then a few half days. I am scared though, i will admit.

It sounds like you would truly benefit from a postpartum doula. If money is tight you may be able to find a volunteer one in your area she may be volunteering to get certified.

I haven't had help with the 2 I have and I know I won't have help with this one... My dh can't take off work and I get 6 wks leave. I just do what I have to do... It's tough, but there's no other choice.
