Prayers needed for my sister who is getting a divorce

and it's turning ugly They have been going to church for a year or so but I'm not really sure of where their faith stands, kwim. I live in CA and she lives in CO so I don't get to see her very often. Yesterday he came into her work place and threatened her so her coworker called the police and charges have been filed because he was acting violently. I'm not sure what she meant by acting violently, she wasn't able to talk to me very long last night so I didn't get details. He has a history of alcohol problems so maybe that's part of it?? They have 1 little boy (5yr) together and they have had custody of 1 little girl (9yr) who is his daughter from his first marriage. His marriage to my sister is his second. My heart is eapecially breaking for the kids! Even though my niece isn't biologically related to me I still see her as my niece and I fear that I may never get to see her again now.

Please pray for them. Thank you.

Happy Wife . Blessed SAHM of 2 boys

Re: Prayers needed for my sister who is getting a divorce

Wow, I just read your request and lots of prayers coming her way. It is really hard to disappear when your safety is an issue when you have a job where they will find you and kids together. The real problem is the system because even if you follow through with charges (which seldom abused wife's do) they get right out the next day and then what? I will be forced to pray for him to get the counseling therapy he needs as that is really the only thing that will help. Wouldn't it be great if you could just flee and take the kids with you with no consequences? I wish it worked this way. Alcohol just magnifies the problems. I did pray for your sisters safety and support and for him to get help. Take Care, Auntkerri
