Re: Just jump into it ?

jump on in! cd's don't bite. don't be tough on yourself if you run into any bumps along the way. there is often some troubleshooting with diapering. if you have any issues, there will be a way to figure it out. gl mama! congrats on your nb & love the name as i have my own brayden.

Re: Just jump into it ?

I used prefolds and wool exclusively as soon as my son was out of the billi lights. I was really nervous but was out of disposables and refused to buy more. The ones we had we were given at the hospital. My son was about 8 days old. We didn't have a problem with the newborn poo just him peeing so much his diapers and wool couldn't hold it. At that stage he would poo out of the disposable but not his prefolds.

Re: Just jump into it ?

Hide the sposies for an entire day and just jump in there! I had the same hesitation and when I started, it was no harder than the sposies... don't know what I was waiting for. Sleep deprivation stays the same no matter the diaper. I just tossed everything in the wash before dinnertime and hung everything to line-dry just before bedtime and they were always dry by morning or close enough to throw in the drier on low temp for 10-15mins to soften them.
The lack of sleep is temporary even though it DOES feel like you'll never make it through, sometimes..... I thought I'd DIE from the lack of sleep during those 1st 2 months after ds came home!

That's exactly how I've been feeling! Some nights Idk how I make it through.
But I did end up jumping into it during the day he's still sadly in sposies at night(I'm still scared ) & it seems harder then sposies :/ I have snaps mainly and I really am hating having to snap bc he's on an uneven setting so it's either going to be a tad bit lose or too tight. I love Velcro lol he has also completely grown out of his newborn fluff at 9 lbs couple Oz. His lil joeys leak, grovia NB AIO don't fit & his fitteds he pees through! He's now in a Rumparooz one size & a bit bulky for my taste but I hope it works!
