Re: Does just ONE cloth diaper make a difference?

I think so. That is exactly how my frugal mind worked in the beginning. I started off with a receiving blanket. After I used it the first time, I was like wow, I just saved .30,lol! I scoured my house for more blankets. I started a mental piggy bank and when I had "saved" enough, I bought a real diaper. I did that for a little while until I had a small stash. Then I went crazy, but that is not the point. I did not have to go crazy. If I had stuck to my original plan, I could have built a full stash in a few months that would have lasted his whole diapering days for just pennies on the dollar for what I would eventually pay for disposables. And I did not feel the loss because I did it so slowly.

Well, I started out with 3 cloth diapers and went from there, now I have like 30!

Re: Does just ONE cloth diaper make a difference?

I didn't have enough for an every other day wash, so I got a bunch of t-shirts and made a few prefolds and some like daddy diapers(with both wings though), and in no time I had doubled my diapers and since I had recieved the t-shirts on freecycle I'd just put time and elastic into them! Super cheap and now that it's been months since we've been doing this full time, I've bough a few things used, one new and it's great. I have more that I need now and though they aren't all super cute pockets or aio's they work and my DD loves them! Way to save the world and your pocket book. And some little one's heiny!
