Bottle help: Avent, Closer to Nature, Breastflow???

I'm EBF my 3 month old DD, w/o bottles so far - which is my preference- however, I have a long dentist appointment ahead and need to leave her with my DH who is probably going to have to feed her. I've heard about a few bottles that EBF mamas like: Avent, Breastflow First Years, Closer to Nature, etc. Which ones simulate BF the most?? I definitely don't want any problems with DD EBF!

Thanks!

We currently use the medela (plastic) and BornFree (glass) bottles. Seems like my son likes the glass ones a little better, but will eat from both. Visually the bornfree has a much wider nipple base.

I'm definitely interested in hearing about the breastflow bottles, as those nipples seem to mimic the breast the most, at least visually.

We loved Tommee Tippee closer to nature ones. We tried them ALL and with this bottle he got a nice deep latch, just like nursing. GL!

We've use avent, gerber, and playtex drop ins bottles and haven't had trouble with her taking any. She seems to dribble milk a lot with the avent bottles though.

I'd really like to try the Tommee Tippee closer to nature ones

my little one is less than 2 weeks old and I have had 2 situations in which I have had to pump and bottle feed..... I used the Tommee Tippee closer to nature bottles and she took them immediately, and went back to breast without any fuss or muss. I recommend them!

We did not like breastflow. They leaked. DS liked playtex drop ins with the latex nipple at first but switched to the avert silicone. Good luck

We've used breastflow and haven't had any leaks. but if i had known about tommee tippee i might have tried them too. the only drawback is that it does seem to take awhile for her to finish a bottle. but that's why i liked the breastflow. i think daycare doesn't like that she couldn't chug it down like other bottles.

We use the breastflow and it is a dream. I highly recommend it, DD goes back and forth without the blink of an eye. I have tried many others and this is one for us.

Re: Bottle help: Avent, Closer to Nature, Breastflow???

I have used the breastflow bottles on my youngest daughter, Ella, who is now 18 months. I haven't had to use a bottle for Dustinso far, but if I do, it will definately be the breastflow again. BUT, evey baby is different, and you have to do what works for you. We tried several bottles before we finally found one she would take. The breastflow was the only one she was even willing to attempt to drink from! In all fairness, Tomee Tipee bottles hadn't even been heard of in our area at the time, so that and the Adiri (too epensive) are the only two that we didn't try.

Re: Bottle help: Avent, Closer to Nature, Breastflow???

I love the mam nipple. I ordered the nipples and put them on my avent bottles I already had. He never had a good latch on avent. With playtex nurser he wouldn't latch and got a lot of air. Breast flow leaked and wasted milk. The mam nipple is flat and seems more like a nursed nipple. He eats from this very well and has no latch confusion with the breast.
