Talk to be about post-partum doulas

Did you have one?

What do they do?

How much do they cost?

Would you recommend a mom of 3 to get one? My DH will probably only take a few days off after baby is born this time and I hate asking my MIL for help so if I can save enough $ I was thinking this might just be what I need? Maybe?

Re: Talk to be about post-partum doulas

I am primarily a birth doula, but I have done PP doula work

What each one does will vary somewhat, but these are the kinds of things I have done:

-Make food
-Wash dishes
-Do laundry
-Watch older kids/take them to the park
-Stay through the night and get up with the older kiddos if they were getting up, or get up and bring babe to mama to eat if they weren't cosleeping or change diapers if that's all that was needed.

Pretty much, if I see something I could do that would make life easier for them, I'll do it.
Mama to Mr. L - born 10/25/2011 peacefully and blissfully at home.
