Can your 5 & 6 yr old put letters in ABC order?

I hadn't replied because I wasn't really sure. This morning I was letting the kids play with my jumbo letter flashcards and DS1 put them in order without me even suggesting it so yes he can... but he had to sing the song to remind him what the order was. I'm not sure that he would "get" the worksheet because it's not really in alphabetical order visually. I can see how that could be confusing.
