Is there a list of the most common kindergarten curriculums? I'm trying to decide what to use for DS, but can't seem to find a list of different ones so that I can compare.

I've decided to go with Heart of Dakota. It has reading, math, handwriting options that you add on if you dont already have a program at home. She suggests singapore math (which is a cathy duffy top 100). It is biblically based with scripture memory, history, and devotionals included.

I'm really excited to start kinder!!

I am homeschooling my son right now even though he is only 3.5 years old and I am using Calvert Homeschool. It is great for where my son is now and I think in the fall (when he is 4) I will go on to the Kindergarden. However I think that this is geared more to children of this age. You don't get to hand writing until Kindergarden with this curriculum.

I am debating that when my son is 5 (he turns at the end of September) that I will go with Laurel Springs School if we are financially able to do so. It is a bit more expensive, but he can stay at that school until college and that REALLY appeals to me so there isn't gaps in his education.

All of these tell you what to do everyday and I like that aspect of things.

I don't know about a list,but we are using Heart of Dakota Little Hearts For His Glory,and we love it. It is perfect and gentle,and a complete K curriculum. We use Singapore math,and the Reading Lesson with it. We also use another phonics curric. but I wouldn't recommend it for a boy,since it's heavy on handwriting.
