Re: bottles?

We used the drop-in's with DD1, but that gets really expensive after a while. We're using Avent with DD2. It cost less for us to buy new bottles than it would have to buy a year's worth of drop-ins for the other bottles.

currently using the drop ins since one month...and recently started using gerber gentle flow. I may just only use the gerber gentle flow because the drop ins get costly and create alot of waste. They are great bottles =)

Re: bottles?

We use Dr. Brown's and they have been wonderful. I don't find them a big deal to wash at all. I also tried using Avent but at that point my baby had gotten accustomed to Dr. Brown's and will not accept anything else!

Re: bottles?

We use the drop-ins but right now I pump occasionally so we don't use a lot of bottles. I have the pump accessory kit so I can pump right into the liners and there is no transfering of milk so as wasteful as they are, I think they are worth it for the sake of convenience! I'm cheap and hate waste so I would use a reusable bottle if I were exclusively formula feeding. Unless I were without a dishwasher, then I would still use the drop ins! Really as long as they're all the same type and baby tolerates them I'd be ok with it, I hate matching up parts to several types of bottles.

Re: bottles?

We use a mixture of bottles here and the girls will take any of them. We have Avent, Playtex Ventaire, Playtex Drop-ins, and regular Gerber bottles. A lot of them were from when my boys were babies, just with new nipples.

Re: bottles?

do the avent bottles leak for you guys? we used these with dd1, but that was a long time ago. they leaked if i didn't put them together properly, but once i had a system worked out i loved them. wondering if they're still the same.

Yes whenever I put the tops on I turn it upside down to make sure it is on right or it will leak

Re: bottles?

i was reading reviews for the updated version of the avent bottles, and i think i'm going to get a few other types to try out and skip avent. i have some evenflo classic glass bottles to try out, too (the price is too good to pass up).

do you guys start off with the 4 oz bottles, or go right to the 8 oz? i see some bottles now are 9-10 oz? my babies never drank that much in one sitting! lol.

Re: bottles?

If you are planning on more babies in the future it may be worth it to get the smaller bottles but, not necessary. We have some but they were glass ones I got at a second hand store cheap and the others we got from people but, not sure I would spend the $ on them new. They are handy though. My LO's have never eaten more than 8oz at a time and not sure I want them to
