We would have. When my son was younger seats only went to 35lbs RF, and we had to turn him at 22 months because he hit the weight limit. He was definitely 40 pounds before he turned 4, but has now levelled off some. He just turned 6, and is now 45 pounds and 48" tall. My son's torso height was also a big issue for us, though. He hasn't fit harnessed in his Nautilus since April.

My 2 year old is over 40 lbs.

DS is 3 years, 3 months old and 35/36lbs. He would have needed a 40 lb limit to get to 4 years old. He's currently RFing in a Radian. My plan is to RF to the limits, but would consider turning him FFing after he turns 4 years old. He is already FFing in DH's car, and doesn't complain about b eing RFing in mine, so as long as he's happy, I imagine we'll just keep RFing.

We would have.... Ava turned four a week ago and is 44lbs. She was RFing to 3yrs 4m in a Graco MyRide65 when she outgrew it in height. Levi is 28 months and 37lbs - he's RFing in a Radian RXT

11 month DS is already 32lbs & 32 inches!

3 yo DD is 37lbs & 41+ inches. She only turned 3 years old 3 weeks ago.

I nannied a little guy who wouldn't make it to 4 even with a 40lb limit. He was 40lb just after his second birthday. Not an ounce of fat on him, just tall and solid. His dad is exactly the same. The kid was a tank. He is 4.5 now and is about the size of a 7 year old.
