Wish me luck, mamas...

Or my DD, really. I have surgery on Monday and have to be away from my nursling for about 12 hours. She's 9 months old but doesn't eat very much at ALL in terms of solids, has never taken a bottle, and usually nurses every couple hours. I AM her food source.

I know she'll survive - my DH will be here with her and give her milk in a sippy to see how much she'll be willing to drink, will offer her solids, etc. - but it will be a long hard day for her without her nursies. My surgery is late in the day so I'll even be away for bedtime. She has never ever not nursed before going to sleep!

I am more worried about her than me. So... I need your good vibes to help get us through! Thanks...

I can't imagine how you must be feeling. You and your baby will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Re: Wish me luck, mamas...

UPDATE: Had the surgery today and it was the best possible scenario... They called and asked if I could come in earlier in the day - YES! - and had me in and out in less than 5 hours! At my request they used a light anesthetic that wore off VERY quickly and I was home in time to nurse DD a couple times before bedtime! I was away from home for 6 hours total, HALF the expected time. When I walked in the door at home DD RACED - I mean RACED - across to floor and flung herself at me. It was so sweet.
