Thanks so much for understanding. Its really not a choice anyone makes. I don't get the "pull yourself together" sentiment to be honest. Its not like we haven't thought of that. LOL

I don't know if this would work in your situation but my DH and I have the Find Friends app on our phones. He drives a lot for work and the app allows me to have an idea of where he is even if can't get in touch. He's doing a long drive today through the mountains so it's nice to be able to see he is okay without having to distract him by texting/calling to check in.

It also takes the pressure off of him as he is definitely the type to say that he will call but ends up not.

As someone who suffers from anxiety and is married to a police officer that works nights, I get how hard it can be. I'm one who controls my anxiety (and not with meds) and not the other way around.

DH is an auctioneer and appraiser. He owns his own auction house and travels for his international contacts and buying.
