Almost all of my peas have sprouted. I got broccoli and romain in but the chipmunks are eating the romain faster than it can grow

I am behind on a couple of things. Hoping its ok

The chipmunks are eating everything. If they continue this I will literally have nothing to harvest except broccoli. That's the only thing they haven't touched. I have to protect my berries because I will go nuts if the eat them all. They have eaten almost all of the lettuce and now they are eating all of my pea sprouts

I covered everything with mason jars. Like mini greenhouses and the chipmunks can't get them....for now.

Now to figure out how to protect the berries.

I am hardening off some tomatoes because I'm about ready to get them planted. Today is really cold but it's due to warm up. This week has just been crazy.

I think the birds ate all my carrot seeds >:-( . The kale, beets, lettuce & chard have all sprouted, and 1 lonely Chinese noodle bean.

Re: Garden Chat 2016

This is my first year with my own micro garden. I have a 5 gallon bucket with 2 tomato plants, and one with 2 pepper plants. They are doing well. We chose small tomatoes and peppers since the garden is small. I also have a few small planter boxes. 1 with basil and rosemary, one with peppermint and oregano and one full of lavender. So far everything is still living. For my first time trying, I figure that's pretty good. The buckets have worked well to keep the rabbits and other small animals out. So far nothing has messed with my herbs. Wish me luck!

Hey everyone, how's it growing? I'm heading off to my first farmer's market this Saturday to sell some tomatoes and basil.
