Help! DD is a screamer.

She's 5 months old and screams all day long. I don't mind her shrieks of happiness but her frustrated/upset shrieks literally rattle my eardrums. I can handle crying but I can't handle this, is their anything I can do or is it just a "this too shall pass."

This too shall pass unless you can figure out a way to reason with an infant.

Re: Help! DD is a screamer.

My 3 1/2 yr old was a screamer. He still is a loud child. He did out grow it. There was nothing I could do to fix it when he was a baby. Even now it is still hard to stop him. He gets in trouble for it now, but he still does it on occassion.

Re: Help! DD is a screamer.

Thanks. I figured that it was going to just be a wait and see type of thing. Hopefully this stage passes quickly; I am seriously getting head aches daily.

DS2 did this when I wasn't holding him. Any time i put him down he cried and screamed. I got a wrap and mei tei and as long as I was wearing him he was fine. Idk if that may help you or not.

Re: Help! DD is a screamer.

I do wear her and it seems to help but not when she's in a "mood" then I just end up having her screech into my ear. I will say she's doing a little better today. This whole week was pretty much non stop screaming.

I wonder if I could still be an attached parent if I do that. What if I also duct tape her to myself when I do her mouth??
